Envato recently changed how revenue is shared with authors. As a result, the way I sell my WordPress themes is changing too.
My themes will remain available on ThemeForest, but you can now also purchase them directly from QreativeThemes. This gives you more choice while helping me continue maintaining and improving the themes over the long term.
What Changed at Envato?
Starting July 1, 2026, Envato changed how revenue from marketplace sales is shared with authors.
Previously, Envato’s share of a sale was around 30% for an exclusive author. Under the new structure, Envato takes approximately 60% of each sale.
This is a significant change because only around half of the purchase price now reaches the author. That remaining revenue must cover the ongoing development, testing and support required to maintain a professional WordPress theme.
Why Ongoing Support and Development Matter
The work on a WordPress theme does not end when it is released. A theme must remain compatible with new versions of WordPress, PHP, browsers and third-party plugins. It also requires regular testing, bug fixes, documentation updates, improvements and customer support.
Some of my themes have been available for close to ten years. Annual licenses help fund this continued work while giving customers access to updates and support throughout the year.
Purchase Directly From QreativeThemes
The removal of Envato’s exclusive-author model means I can now offer my ThemeForest themes directly through QreativeThemes.
For most customers, I recommend purchasing directly. You receive a full year of updates and support, flexible licensing for one or multiple websites, and personal help directly from me, the person who designs, develops and maintains every QreativeThemes product. A larger part of your purchase also goes directly towards future updates, improvements and support.

ThemeForest remains available if you prefer managing your purchases through Envato. However, purchasing directly provides the most complete option for year-round support and flexible licensing.

What This Means for Existing ThemeForest Customers
If you already purchased one of my themes on ThemeForest, nothing changes for your existing license. You can continue using the theme as before and access updates through your Envato account. Support remains available according to the terms of your ThemeForest purchase and support period.
If your ThemeForest support has expired and you would prefer year-round assistance, you are welcome to purchase an annual license directly from QreativeThemes. This gives you a full year of direct support and someone familiar with the theme to turn to whenever you need help with your website.
