I’m Barry de Jong, the designer and developer behind QreativeThemes, based in the Netherlands. I build WordPress themes for small businesses.
Before I built themes for a living, I worked in the trades. That experience shapes how I build themes. When you’re busy running a business, you have limited time for your website. You need something you can set up, understand, and get on with using.
I taught myself web design and coding on the side, then went on to study interaction design. Shortly after, I released my first premium WordPress theme. It sold well from day one, and I decided to make it my full-time work.
That was over 10 years ago. Since then, I’ve built 11 themes used by more than 11,000 businesses worldwide. I still design and develop every theme myself, and when you need support, I’m the one answering your questions.

I build each theme for a particular type of business. The collection covers moving companies, dental clinics, construction companies, law firms, logistics businesses, gyms, car repair shops, spas, cleaning companies, physiotherapy practices, and landscapers.
That focus guides the pages, layouts, and features I include. A dental clinic needs to explain treatments and introduce its dentists. A construction company needs room to show its projects. Those needs shape the theme from the start.
