I’m Barry de Jong, founder and developer of QreativeThemes, based in the Netherlands. Before I built themes for a living, I worked in the trades. That background shaped how I think about small businesses: limited time, tight budgets, and no patience for tools that don’t just work.
I taught myself web design and coding on the side, later studied interaction design formally, and launched my first premium WordPress theme shortly after. It sold well from day one. That’s when I went all-in.
That was over 10 years ago. Since then I’ve built 11 niche WordPress themes used by more than 11,000 businesses worldwide, and I’ve handled every line of code, every design decision, and every support ticket myself.
